Canon Rumors has received confirmation that a new Canon body is being tested in Vancouver at the moment – model number unknown.
The same source also mentioned a 1Ds Mark IV release (or 1Ds MK IV) before the end of February.
A 60D, with high fps speed? A 1Ds Mark IV in the beta stages of testing?
Things remain to be seen. Keep a close eye out when watching the Olympics.

Canon has released the latest in its range of consumer DSLRs, the Rebel T2i or EOS 550D, as predicted two days ago.
The new DSLR includes 1080p HD video recording (with full manual control), an 18MP CMOS sensor, up to ISO 6400, a 3-inch 3:2 LCD with 1040k dot resolution, as well as the 63-point iFCL metering system, as seen on the EOS 7D.
The new Rebel also faetures redesigned buttons, 3.7 fps continous shooting, +/-5 stops exposure compensation and UI support for Eye-Fi cards.
A source has informed Canon Rumors that the 5D Mark III (or 5D MK III) may be out sooner than predicted in the 5D three-year-cycle release dates.
It says that Canon has bumped the 5D MK III’s release by up to 6 months, meaning that it may be within reach within the upcoming months (or later this year), since the 5D Mark II was released in 2008. The rumour also states that the 5D MK III will be receiving an AF system similar to the 7D, and that video functions will be improved.
The source also says the somewhat popular rumour of a 3D is a myth.
However, do note that this source does not have a high level of reliability (previously unheard source) that CR can recommend.
Rumours have been flying wild over the past few weeks over prospective titles and specifications for the new Rebel, which is expected to come out.
We have reports that it will be called the Rebel T2i, and will possibly be otherwise titled the Canon EOS 550D or 600D (the former is more probable, however). Possibly, it may be a lower-end camera (ie, 2000D).

PMA 2010 approaches; one of the major photography-related shows in the USA – and with branches worldwide – it annually brings lots of speculation. The event is being held at Anaheim, California from February 21-23.
Canon: 1Ds Mark IV, 60D and maybe three new lenses as a possibility; though there is a chance of a Rebel. Canon will be having announcements on February 9th, so we assume that’s when Canon will bring out its best.
Nikon: because we have not had an in-depth summary for Nikon, unlike the Feb 9 announcements in Canon, this may be somewhat longer. To see other brands, please look below these paragraphs.

Another DSLR possibility is the D900. Previously, models listed as ‘compatible’ under different products have mentioned a D900 (Nikon Rumors has reported these, but Camera Tech has not mentioned these due to improbability). However, yet another one, from the back of a Phottix Titan battery case, it has mentioned the D900. Potentially, it could be real, although on their website there is no mention of this compatibility.

Every rumor is taken from just one of these predictions by three distinguished professional photographers you see on the lower left side of the page in the link Mr. Fool provided. On the upper right side, it reads “New Full frame camera will be the axis of Nikon’s new model in 2010″. They predict that D700X will be using the same cropped sensor as D3X and the price will be about 350k yen ($4000 US). They also predict that 14.2 mega pixel APS-C sensor ( the same one currently used on Sony A550) will be the new standard for Nikon’s APS-C camera, and the replacement of D90 (which they call D95) will adapt that sensor. According to them, it will have Full HD video. The least credible of all is listed lenses on the right page. The source simply states “we want attractive lenses to fully experience new high-megapixel full frame camera”. So lens part is more like a hope than a prediction.

Panasonic: two compact (ie, point-and-shoot) cameras and a Lumix G replacement.
Olympus: several compact cameras.
Pentax: three new compact cameras, which should bring some variety in design.
Sony: a series of compact cameras and an a700 replacement.
Ricoh: new CX2 camera and a new 28-300mm GXR lens.
Samsung: a new k-mount for the Samsung NX-10 is expected, don’t have any other information at that point.
Tamron: two lenses; however, these could be released after PMA 2010.
Hasselblad: Hasselblad might feature whatever they’re releasing for the countdown (update in the link just mentioned contains news that it will be providing a service potentially similar to Canon’s World Of EOS.
Fuji: a new Micro Four-Thirds EVIL model; potentially some digital and film cameras.
Leica: Leica is not attending PMA 2010, but they should be releasing a 35mm Summilux M lens in March. Compact cameras then also are expected.
Canon Rumors has received these set of specifications, which seem to indicate a new, upcoming Rebel (alternatively ‘other’ 60D specs, although that is highly unlikely):
– Articulating screen
– Metal body, but smaller than 50D
– Upgraded 15.1mp APS-C Sensor
– 720p Video at 30fps
– Electronic Level
– New battery & battery grip
Speculations: February 9 announcements to contain the 60D and 1Ds Mark IV, as well as companion and individual lenses. We don’t think, at this stage, that Canon will release a Rebel – March or April seems more likely. An EOS 550D could be next (no current rumours on the next Rebel camera aside from ‘550D’, which seems highly probable), or a 1500D/2000D (depending on the name, an update to the 1000D which so far has not been updated since the 450D).
Alongside the Sony confirmation of a replacement of the A700 last year, it has been removed from the website (both UK and US), and a inside source has revealed details in a letter,

The replacement of the DSLR-A700 will after all be the Alpha 8-series.

Yet we expect that it will be a Sony A750, or of the sort, instead of something like the A850. It should be released during PMA this year.
According to a source from Northlight, the Canon 1Ds Mark IV has been tested and is ‘production ready’.
The key features from what they were told:
A possible release date for the 1Ds Mark IV includes the Canon February 9th announcement; however, when it is released, it is expected to have a few new lenses released alongside it.
Sony has just released its A450 DSLR. Sony has had a notorious past of having its new, upcoming models leaked: we’ve speculated on the Sony A450 earlier today, as well as earlier in December,
The Sony Alpha 450 comes in below the A500. It features the same APS-C 14.2 MP CMOS sensor as the A55o, although without the latter’s Live View ability as well as the tilt and flip LCD screen, although it does have SteadyShot INSIDE (Sony’s body-integrated image stabilisation). Instead, it has a 2.6″ (6.7cm) display, the same as the A230. Similarly, it has the same role that the A230 does in the A3XX range, except with better ergonomics and a larger battery (from the A5XX series). The reduced features help increase battery life to over 1000 shots (standard test methods). It does not feature a video mode.
