Camera Tech looking for staff

Please email us at to join our team.

Though we’re not exactly offering six-figured sums, if anyone is interested in joining us, please contact us as soon as possible.

The successful applicant – though prior experience in whatever field is not necessary, time and availability is required – will be aiding in sourcing and posting updates.

Update: cameratech resuming

Since the technical problems over a month ago, CameraTech has been down; primarily due to several staff resigning. As a result, we have unfortunately not been able to report on much. We have been going through several changes, majorly including changes in staff, and now can confidently resume. However, we resume our reporting by tomorrow (5th Dec).

Further to that, on a side note, one of our staff members has written an article in Digital Photography School. The article is here.

We apologise heartily for all the inconvenience and hope you will resume reading.

Update: CameraTech back on the net

Due to technical problems, we have been unable to contribute to CameraTech for the past week or so.

As such, we do not have the news from the last week in individual updates.

However, a recap over the last few days:

– Olympus EP2 has been leaked. Will be officially announced some time next week (it looks to be November the 6th)
– Nikon released its Learn and Explore application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Available currently to only the US, it provides images, video/audio lectures and commentaries, as well as articles from the Nikon World magazine
– Phase One released its Capture One 5 PRO RAW conversion workflow software. New features include the Focus Tool and Focus Mask. It also includes a new ‘Skin Tone’ enhancer for smoother skin tones, more metadata fields, adjustments for individual colour channels and the ability to add vignetting. It is available to the US only from the Phase One website for an RRP of $399
– Panasonic’s eight annual competition opened for entries; the theme is ‘visualise (visualize) music’. Winners get a DMC-ZX1 each month, and the ultimate winner gets a DMC-GF1, with two runner-ups receiving a DMC-FZ38 each. It closes on April 30th, 2010
– Tamron released a 17-50mm f/2.8 Di II VC zoom targeted to APS-C sensor cameras for Canon
– SanDisk Memory cards now offer up to 32GB capacity
– Nikon announced version 1.5.0for its Capture NX software

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the interruption.
